A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE "All Day" Itinerary Days of old come alive today as we explore the Antique Car and Treasure Museum at Georgia's Stone Mountain Park. This museum is nearly a miniature Smithsonian housing a dozen or so automobiles from yesteryear as well as an antique sleigh. Your eyes will bulge when you enter this hall of unique products. You'll find general antiques including old photos, postcards, trains, household items, miniatures, bicycles and books to name just a few items. Be sure to bring along a few quarters so you can listen to the sounds of days gone by from the antique jukeboxes! You can spend hours here and will remember the good ol'days quickly. When departing Georgia's Stone Mountain Park, be sure to exit via the west gate. Follow the street to downtown Stone Mountain Village and welcome to the 1900's! You'll find Georgia's newest Main Street City beckoning you to stroll the streets and uncover the shopping experience of your trip to Atlanta. There is over 60 unique shops including the general store, Stone Mountain Handbags, coffee cafe's, ice cream shops, Civil War relics, art stores, gift shops and so much more. You can view your hand-crafted purchases in one of the many unique restaurants within walking distance of your vehicle. It's off to downtown Decatur to visit the Old Courthouse on the square. You'll find the Jim Cherry Museum located in the DeKalb Historical Society. Plan on one full hour to enjoy this great building. Before returning to your hotel, be sure to find Broad Street and Peachtree Road in Chamblee and uncover more than 200 antique dealers and their offerings at the South's largest and most unusual antique area--Chamblee's Antique Row. If you are on a scavenger hunt today for something special, we bet you'll find your relic or prized possession!
