Home of the Southeast's first Nordstrom department store, which opened in 1998, Perimeter Mall is one of Atlanta's top retail destinations. Other stores include Rich’s and Macy’s, 185 specialty shops, a large food court and several retail kiosks. Perimeter Mall also has seven high quality full-service restaurants. A parking deck connects to Nordstrom and Rich’s with a total of four walkway bridges, providing accessible, convenient parking for over 2,700 vehicles. Since the late 1990s, 91 percent of South DeKalb Mall has been renovated, renewed or re-leased and the mall has featured more than 130 community events. Newly opened in 2001, The Mall at Stonecrest is an upscale, regional shopping mecca featuring Rich’s, Sears, JCPenney, Parisian and Dillard’s, as well as many high-end national retailers, an extensive food court and two full-service restaurants. Just beyond the west entrance to Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park lies this quaint 19th century town.
